Liz specialises in musculoskeletal problems, in particular back pain and neck pain. She qualified as an osteopath in 2003 and has used acupuncture since 2006. She usually uses a combination of osteopathy and acupuncture, but also offers full sessions of osteopathy or acupuncture. With a qualification in gym instruction, she is also able to give advice on exercise.

Liz takes the view that ‘every injury is an opportunity’. The meaning of this will be unique to each person. A flare up of a longstanding achy low back may provide motivation to do a course of strengthening exercises, or a neck strain could be an opportunity to learn to sit with better posture at a desk. By taking a holistic perspective, with an emphasis on self-management, Liz helps her clients help themselves towards optimal long-term management.

Having worked in hospice-based supportive care for five years, Liz has a good knowledge of how acupuncture can help people living with cancer and other life-limiting conditions. Liz blends a scientific and evidence-based approach with a deep respect for the ancient healing traditions of the world.

Liz is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the Institute of Osteopathy and the British Medical Acupuncture Society, and has second duan grading in Tai Chi.
